Christ Lutheran Church moved to its present location at South and Fullerton in December 1937, across the street from Newburgh Free Academy.
Just south of the Church you'll find the historic Colonial Terraces inspired by the Garden Movement in England, built to house an influx of WW1 Shipbuilders. Click on any image for more.
Newburgh's Waterfront was once busy with the Ferry Boats crossing the Hudson to Beacon, along with Day Steamers to New York City and Albany. Now pleasure craft and restaurants have reclaimed the waterfront.
Meantime organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Newburgh Restoration, The Newburgh Land Bank and others work to rehabilitate the city's historic housing stock.
